[:en]The city is the second in Portugal when it comes to the number of population. As you’ve probably noticed already, its name had an influence on the name of the country. Porto is most famous of its wine, but when you spend a few days here, you’ll discover or experience way more things! Breathtaking architecture, narrow streets hiding interesting places or walks along the Douro river bank are one of my favourites! The second landmark of the city is the double-decked metal Dom Luís I Bridge from the end of 19th century.
The Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto), built in Romanesque style (greatly altered during Baroque times), is located in the historical centre of the city and marked as the UNESCO landmark.

[:pl]Porto jest drugim co do wielkości miastem w Portugalii, zaraz po Lizbonie. Jak można się domyślić, jego nazwa wpłynęła na nazwę całego kraju. Miasto słynie głównie z produkcji wina, jednak spędzając w nim kilka dni, można docenić jego piękną architekturę, odkryć wąskie uliczki kryjące ciekawe miejsca czy zachwycić się panoramą podczas spacerów wzdłuż rzeki Douro. Znakiem rozpoznawczym Porto jest dwupoziomowy most (na górze jeździ żółta linia metra) Don Luis I z końca dziewiętnastego wieku.
Romańska (odrestaurowana w stylu barokowym) katedra (Sé do Porto) znajduje się w centrum historycznym miasta. Wpisana na listę UNESCO i zaliczana jako jeden z ważniejszych zabytków Portugalii.
Jedzenia nigdy za wiele! Zwłaszcza, gdy padaria oferuje pyszną kawę, quiche i ciastka brigadeiro (chociaż te są produktem brazylijskim).
